Voices Of Silence was founded in 1994 in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), with this line-up:
Vincze Szabi-guitars, Boaca Bogdan-guitars / vocals, Moca Razvan-drums.
The group did some experiments, trying to do something different, than the "classic" heavy metal.
Though the line-up was quite unstabile at this time (1995: Bálint Gyuri-vocals,
Boaca Bogdan-guitars / background vocals, Vincze Szabi-guitars, Láposi Levi-keyboards,
Esztergár Zoli "Lo"-bass, Bogdándi Ferenc-drums), they recorded their first demo tape
(self-produced): "First Was The Beginning".
Nicoleta Pop was a guest singer on this demo , containing four songs:"Fight", "Another Life",
"Ballad Of Differences" and "Voices Of Silence".
In
february 1999 a second lead singer,Dudu (ex:Overload) was brought in the team,
and the style
became sympho-progressive, with some power-metal influences.
In septembrie, the same year, they fire Dudu, and from that moment Bandy is the one only
lead
singer in Voices of
Silence.
They
find a new drummer: Gindele Gábor (Gabica, who also plays in Psycho Symphony).
Lo returns after playing for two years in C.A.S.H..
Wits this line-up, the group played several gigs having some success (Special Prize for Style
at the Samus Rock festival), than they sign a contract with Promusic Prod. (Cluj-Napoca / Ro.)
for the first 3 official matherials. In the spring of 2000 V.O.S. finished recording the first one, an E.P.:
"Stories Of My Ways", which has 4 sympho-power progressive metal songs and a surprize bonus-track.
This
E.P. was recorded, mixed and mastered by Kiss Lóránd.

Carei, Satu Mare, Bucuresti, winning new fans for their melodic metal.
Wellknown
TVR1 producer Petre Magdin invites the group at the TV studios, to film 3 of
their songs.
The
official release of the E.P. was at the beginning of december 2000, at
a concert, where, because of the organizers, the wellknown romanian heavy metal band
CARGO couldn`t play

Bandy was born on February the16th, 1977 and raised at his grand moms. His interest for music manifested at an early age. His grand-grand father was a violin player and Bandy loved to
listen his music. He played at accordion as a kid, and his teacher was an old gipsy.
After a few years when he was for the first time at a live concert his dream was to become
a keyboard player. But, music remained for him just a hobby.
In 1996 he thought it`s time to learn more seriously music and he started at the Art School from
Cluj-Napoca to learn Piano and Canto.
In the same year he met Szabi (guitar) who played in Voices Of Silence with an old school friend
of Bandi’s, Fricz. They were looking for a keyboard player. For the first time he started to play in
a band. After a year he became also the vocal of the band and after Feri came in the band he
became just vocal. He studied at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Machine Manufacturing Technologies, graduated in 2000.
At the moment his is a Ph.D. student at the same university.

Slowhair was born in Cluj-Napoca, on 21-th of October, 1976.
Since the age of 5 he wanted to be a quitar player in a band.
He bought his first electric quitar at the age of 17 with 10 $ and 60 death metal tapes and...
He played from the beginning in the Voices of Silence, he is a 100 % Voices MANIAC.
One of his greatest dreams is to see Savatage live in Romania and Voices of Silence to play before them.
In 2000 he finished the Technical Dental College and in the present he studies Psychology in Cluj.

Bozoo was born in Cluj in the 22-nd of February 1974 and was raised up mainly by grandparents.
He started to play the guitar at the age of 17. Later he played bass guitar in a jazz rock band
which never did anything. When his good friend Szabi made his own band, he became
the lyricist of the group that was to become later Voices Of Silence. In 1997 he joined the
band as a keyboard player ( he learned this instrument mainly at the Art School in Cluj) .
Feri works as a reporter at the hungarian departament of the Romanian Radio`s local studio
where he is also host of a weekly 25 minutes show "Metalmania". Since 2000 he is the
conductor of the Visszhang hungarian student`s choir in Cluj

Lo was born in Cluj-Napoca, on the 9-th of June, 1976. His father died when he was six
years old and he was raised by his mother. He bought his first instrument when he was seventeen.
It was a home made six string guitar. He started to play in his school’s band, named Spiritual in 1993.
The band broke up a year later. With two ex-Spiritual members, they formed a power metal
band, Pantheon. This band broke up in 1995.
Since February 1995 he became a member of Voices of Silence. In March 1996 he quit the band
and joined a glam rock band, called C.A.S.H. where he played until June 1998. In October 1998
he re-joined V.O.S where he still plays and he hopes that he will play as long as he can.
He studied at the Geographical Faculty in Cluj-Napoca, where he will finish his studies in February 2002.
He probably will be geography teacher. Or not?

Gabica was born in Carei , where he started to play drums at age 16. He first wanted to be
a guitar player. In fact he thinks most drummers and bass players are people who are less
gifted as guitarists . In his next life (if any ) he would like to play harmonica, so he`ll have less weight
to carry at shows... Being a prominent member of the welknown progressive techno thrash
band Psycho Symphony, he joined Voices Of Silence in september 1999 . In 2001 he graduated
at the Geography Faculty of the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj.
